"...Mildly salty and peaty in the  well-rounded, slightly oaky finish..."

Fun Fact

Campbeltown Loch is the name of the natural harbour in Campbeltown and was used for the name of the whisky as it is also the title of a very old Scottish song by a singer called Andy Stewart - Campbeltown Loch I Wish You Were Whisky.

Campbeltown Loch

Campbeltown itself was once known as the Whisky Capital of the World due to the number of distilleries which used to be in operation there. It is one of Scotland's distinct and defined Whisky Regions, along with the Lowlands, Highlands, Speyside and Islay.

The distillery is renowned for the consistent quality of its whiskies and for being the only distillery in all of Scotland which carries out 100% of the production process on site.

Tasting Notes :

A high-quality blend, containing 40% malt whisky. Most of the malt whisky in the blend comes from Springbank Distillery-Springbank itself, Longrow and Hazelburn- although there is whisky from other distillery.

"The result is a well-balanced blend with a nose that is initially fresh and fruity; sweet, with a hint of new leather and printer’s ink, plus brine and mild peat. With time it settles down into something more floral, with subtle leather and plump grain. Full and sweet on the palate, with apricots, gentle spice, milk chocolate and malt. Mildly salty and peaty in the well-rounded, slightly oaky finish."- Gavin D Smith & Tom Cannavan (Whisky Pages)
