Creed: (Latin - Credo) .... to have a belief; . . . to believe; . . . I Believe we believe that with passion, integrity, and drive you can achieve great things! we believe in ourselves, that we can deliver world class wines, and proudly build a business that our clients are pleased to be associated with!

Creed Wines is a young business , however the wine itself enjoys a great heritage, from the humble beginnings of the fruit growers, with young and old vines,to the wine making process itself, calling on years of experience from the winemaker, and reflecting the character of the beautiful Barossa region We proudly present our wine for your enjoyment, drink and enjoy!

2007 Wild Child - Riesling

Crisp dry and full bodied, the wine shows ripe limes and lemons with a structure backed by complex minerality and some slight tannic backbone. This wine is a break from the typical mould of Rieslings in recent years allowing for fuller structure and richer flavours.

A full bodied dry Riesling made using the fruit from an isolated vineyard in the heart of the Eden Valley, arguably Australia’s premium Riesling region. Destemmed and then basket pressed to tank with limited skin contact, the wine was fermented allowing the vineyards natural yeast to
implant terroir driven flavours and aromatics to the wine. The fruit through isolation and terrior has in intensity to it that leads to richer minerals and dryer structures, less focused on bright fruits but food friendly richer
palate weight. Following fermentation the wine was slowly stabilized and prepared for bottle. An extended period of rest for the wine preceding bottling allowed for the wine to become settled and to develop intrinsic characters that we
are sure will allow for a lengthy cellaring potential.
Wild Child by name and nature!

2005 Madeleine – Fume Blanc (Sauvignon Blanc)

Crisp and clean with forward limes and quince fruits, balanced by impartation of French oak characters and a fine structure. Hints of riper fruit finish the dry and fresh finish.

A crisp and dry style of wine not readily seen in Australia more common throughout the Loire Valley, north east region of France in the sub region of Pouilly near Sancerre.
The fruit commonly used in this region is Sauvignon Blanc with the wine being given some time in oak and allowing the wine to generate a density to it. The wine is suited to ready drinking whilst young but will comfortably see up to eight years in the cellar. Creed decided to make this style of Sauvignon Blanc following a tasting of old Barossa Fume’s made by the now extinct Krondorf Winery in the late 60’s and early 70’s.
Harvested at optimum ripeness, fermented in tank and then sent to new French oak for three months the wine has been left to mature in the bottle. With sensational ageing potential and a different approach to what is now a very common grape variety, Creed are therefore proud to present to you our first Madeleine Fume Blanc.

2006 The Pretty Miss - Shiraz / Cabernet Franc / Viognier

Rich and full the palate explodes with bright fruits of black berries and plums. This wine displays the new adventure in Barossa winemaking with fruit power and intensity matched with fine French oak mid palate drive and finished with the polish of a touch of Viognier to lift aromatics and
drive a cleaner finish to the palate. A lengthy after taste confirms the level of quality that is achieved in this wine.

All parcels were harvested at optimum ripeness from premium vineyards in the south of the Barossa. Shiraz from the sub region of God’s Hill road, Cabernet Franc from Rowland Flat and Viognier from Lights Pass. The fruit
was open fermented and pumped over daily with the wines being left to soak on skins post fermentation being complete. Both red parcels were hand basket pressed direct to oak for malolactic fermentation. Maturation in French oak for 20 months then the best barrels were
selected to make the blend. The wine has been bottled with minimal filtering and therefore will throw some sediment. Decanting prior to serving is recommended.

2005 Two Brothers - Shiraz / Viognier

Rich and full the palate explodes with cherries, spices and clean acidity. This wine displays the best in Barossa Shiraz density and intensity matched with fine French oak mid palate drive and finished with the polish of a touch of Viognier to lift aromatics and drive a cleaner finish to the palate. A lengthy after taste confirms the level of quality that is achieved in this wine.

Not a new style of wine for either the Barossa or the world, with the major Rhone Valley producers mastering this wine over many decades, without letting on what their secret was! Barossa Shiraz has a special place in the Australian palate with it’s density
and sometimes assault on the senses, with the introduction of a touch of Viognier the flavours and aromas become more polished and refined with
lighter hints of smaller components of spice and leather being allowed to emerge from the raging body of the wine. Open fermentation, basket pressing and maturation in old and new French oak add to the
complexity of this wine. A wine that will be readily enjoyed as a young style will also compliment
the patient and reward with medium to long term cellaring. Creed are therefore proud to present to you our first Two Brothers Shiraz Viognier.

2003 The Bism Barossa Shiraz

Rich and opulent palate evenly weighted between balanced oak concentration, powerful fruit density and extended ageing in both barrel and bottle. Ripe dark fruits with a backbone of Christmas cake. Underlying natural acidity balances the full flavours achieved.

fermentation extended contact time was allowed. Hand basket pressed directly to a single old American oak hogshead for 40 months with only 1 rack and return. The wine was then bottled unfiltered, hand labelled and hand packed. The Bism will require double decanting as it has started the lay a considerable sediment. Decant up to 4 hours prior to serving to maximise the flavours and
style of this wine. A traditional wine from a traditional region.
